The Three of Pentacles
Work. Teamwork. Learning.
I've had some rough jobs. Trust me. My work was not all glamour and magical fun before I became a professional Tarot reader. I’ve worked retail (brutal). I’ve waited tables (brutalist). But I can’t help but thinking that doing those jobs well got me here, as part-owner in Beanblossom’s Tea & Tarot.
You never know where a job will take you or what you’ll learn. What made my awful jobs livable was focusing on my values: doing the job right, being challenged, being of service.
What made me crazy was when other important values, like being in control of my earnings and having freedom to do things when and how I wanted weren’t fulfilled. Those were the pain points that drove me to starting up as a Tarot reader and, eventually, going in on a tearoom.
If work is getting you down, this Tarot card asks what would happen if you thought of your work as a calling instead of a grind (even if temporarily)? What are your work values? How can your work fulfill them, or do you need to make a change?
And if you’re loving what you do, the Three of Pentacles is telling you to keep at it, and look to possible collaborators or people to learn from.
