The gargoyle Brigitte, from my Riga Hayworth mysteries, is back in a series of short stories - but only in my newsletter.
If you signed up for my newsletter recently, you received a series of five emails written in the voice of Brigitte the gargoyle. Going forward, I’ll be writing my "regular" emails announcing new books in Brigitte’s voice and including a monthly Brigitte short story in the body of each.
What does this mean? In months I have releases, you'll get two Brigitte stories. In months without a book release, you'll get one. But only if you're signed up for my newsletter!
So, if you’d like to get a monthly short story delivered straight to your inbox, sign up for my newsletter on my home page.
The first five introductory emails when you subscribe are structured differently, without the abovementioned short stories. But these emails have lots of other goodies, including a full-length witch mystery novel and steampunk short stories.
Writing short is something of a challenge for me. It’s much easier to develop a story over 70,000 words than 700. But I’ve found I’m having a lot of fun learning the short form and with Brigitte, who I haven’t written about in a few years now. You can hear more about all this in the video below.
So if you're a current subscriber who misses the irascible gargoyle, then be sure to open the coming emails. And if you're not a subscriber, sign up now!
