October Tarotscopes!

October Tarotscopes

I’m drawing one card for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Libra is an air sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s air suit, swords, for Libra. (Standard disclaimer: Tarotscopes are for entertainment purposes only).

Libra, September 23 – October 22: The Hierophant and the Ten of Swords. All good things must come to an end, and the Hierophant asks us to keep things in perspective (not always easy, I know). So what's the perspective? Endings make way for something new... if we can get out of the traps we've created in our mind. All that trite advice really does offer a way forward -- take care of yourself, stay optimistic, and don't give up!

Scorpio, October 23 – November 21: Justice and the Six of Cups. Famed occultist Aleister Crowley said the Six of Cups was the best card in the Tarot deck, symbolizing all good things. Combined with Justice, you're getting what you deserve this month, and what you deserve is good. So feel gratitude and enjoy it!

Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21: The Hanged Man and the King of Wands. You may be itching to move forward and take charge, but you find yourself in a holding position. The key here is timing. Take a breath and use this pause to gather your forces and plan. You'll know when the time is right.

Capricorn, December 22 – January 19: Temperance and the Four of Pentacles. Take care this month that a striving for balance doesn't root into stagnation. Balance can also require release, especially of your fears. What are you really clinging to and why?

Aquarius, January 20 – February 18: The Magician and the Queen of Swords. You're going to need your cold, hard intellect in order to move things forward. Put your emotions aside and weigh the pros and cons. Because the bottom line is you can move forward. The way is there, you just have to be willing to look at all the angles.

Pisces, February 19 – March 20: The Chariot and the Seven of Cups. You may feel pulled by competing desires and attractions this month. But while tempting, not everything on offer is good for you. The most enticing option at first glance may not be the right one. Take some time to figure out what you really want, and what you need to get you there.

Aries, March 21 – April 19: The Empress and the Three of Wands. You've created something wonderful but had to wait for its potential to be fulfilled. That time is coming. Trust and stay patient.

Taurus, April 20 – May 20: The High Priestess and the Three of Pentacles. This is a good month to bring others into your projects, especially because those others have access to information that you'll need. Don't expect these secrets to be immediately revealed, however. You'll need to ask the right questions.

Gemini, May 21 – June 20: The Fool and the Ace of Swords. New things are popping, Gemini. So get excited! You have the opportunity to start something big, but you'll need to just take the leap.

Cancer, June 21 – July 22: Judgement and the Page of Cups. You're being called to something new and fresh, something that has the potential to be transformative in a positive way. Be open, and follow your instincts.

Leo, July 23 – August 22: The Lovers and the Ace of Wands. You're on fire with passion this month, Leo. This is an excellent time for manifesting, for starting new projects and bringing your ideas into the real world. But beware of shortcuts.

Virgo, August 23 – September 22: The Emperor and the Nine of Pentacles. You're sitting pretty this month, Virgo. But the Emperor reminds us that now is not the time to slack off. Enjoy this moment, but remain disciplined.
