Witch's Brew: 28 September 2017

witch news

In honor of the season (and because I spend way too much time reading this stuff), here's a roundup of this week's witchy spells, supplies, and other goodies.

From A Witch's Path: Four Ways to Cleanse Crystals with Herbs. I didn't even know you could cleanse them with herbs, though I did hear burying them in the earth for a time was a good way to recharge them. And there's always running water (for stones that don't dissolve in water). Thanks, A Witch's Path!

And in a similar vein, 13 Quick Ways to Cleanse Your Energy. I'm all over the salt water bath.

How the Hoodwitch brought Bruja Magic to Instagram. Shoot, no matter how hard I try, I can't get my Instagram page off the ground. But I don't take awesome witchy pictures like she does!

A Ritual to the Goddess Demeter at the Kansas City Gaea Gathering.

I'd promised myself I'd buy no more Tarot decks. Then I saw the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot from Uusi, and broke down. It arrived in the mail yesterday, and I had a minor heart attack when I thought the minor arcana were based off the Tarot of Marseilles (with no symbolism aside from the number of cups, coins, wands, or swords). But when I looked closer, I saw that in the background, very subtly, there is tons of symbolism, and it's a lot closer to the classic Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Whew!
