Many of my mystery novels -- from Riga Hayworth to the Witches of Doyle -- are set in the California Sierras. Lake Tahoe has gotten a bit too crowded lately, so I've been drifting further south, along Highway 4 for my Doyle series. What's so magical about the Sierras?
