I’m drawing one card for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Cancer is a water sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s water suit, cups, for Cancer. (Standard disclaimer: Tarotscopes are for entertainment purposes only).
And in honor of my upcoming cozy mystery, At Wits' End, which takes place in a UFO-themed B&B, I'm going with an X-Files gif theme this month.
Cancer, June 21 – July 22: The Emperor and the Three of Cups. It's time to make time for fun, especially now that summer is here. Sure, there's room for spontaneity. But how easy is it to just sit at home, watching TV, and letting this glorious summer drift by without really enjoying it? So, go through your July calendar and make sure you've got something fun planned -- either alone or with others -- every damn week. It will be worth it!
Leo, July 23 – August 22: The Wheel of Fortune and the Ace of Wands. The wheel of life keeps turning, and you've just reached a new beginning. That's exciting. And scary. But don't let your fears stop you. Use them as fuel to keep driving you forward. After all, the wheel needs energy to keep spinning.
Virgo, August 23 – September 22: The Chariot and the Two of Pentacles. You may feel pulled in opposite directions this month. But do you have to choose one over the other, or are these opposing desires really the same choice with different faces? The key to success in this situation is to evaluate what's driving you subconsciously, and get it in line with your conscious will.
Libra, September 23 – October 22: The Sun and the Three of Swords. Your life is in a pretty good place. So why do you feel like something's not right? It's human to fight for what you want -- that gives it meaning. And when there's no fight? We create one ourselves. Be careful of what you're creating. Spend some time feeling the gratitude, and be aware of all the wonderful things in your life.
Scorpio, October 23 – November 21: The Devil and the Knight of Cups. Beware of charging forth blindly this month, Scorpio. Your schemes have a far greater chance of success if you drop your assumptions, take a step back, and take time to see things more clearly (especially with regards to relationships).
Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21: The Fool and the Queen of Wands. This is your month for fun, Sagittarius. So hang loose and embrace the spirit of adventure, and yes, of getting social. And if the thought of being social stops you cold, then look on social events as an adventure too.
Capricorn, December 22 – January 19: The Magician and the King of Pentacles. Now is the time to act, but do it deliberately, making sure first you have all your resources lined up. Check and double check, but move.
Aquarius, January 20 – February 18: The Star and the Ace of Swords. Your new ideas are blessed by the hope and joy of the Star. This is an ideal time to plan, to dream, and yes, to act. Aces are cards of initiation. So initiate, and trust that your actions are blessed.
Pisces, February 19 – March 20: Justice and the Four of Cups. The energies of cause and effect are operating in your life this month. The effect in this case is a lovely opportunity, most likely in the emotional realm of love and intuition. But you'll have to pay deep attention to take advantage.
Aries, March 21 – April 19: The Lovers and the King of Wands. You face a choice this month. and the decisive King of Wands asks you to embrace it with a spirit of risk, self-expression, and creativity. Be bold and take a chance!
Taurus, April 20 – May 20: The Tower and the Knight of Pentacles. You may not want to move forward, but circumstances are driving you. That's the problem with getting stuck. If you don't unstick yourself, the universe will do it for you, and frequently, there's some rough handling involved. Don't fight it or shake your fist at the heavens, just keep on keeping on.
Gemini, May 21 – June 20: Judgement and the Two of Swords. You're being called to a higher purpose, but you might be having a hard time figuring out what it is. Get out of your head. Your thoughts are powerful things, and this month, they may be blinding you.
