I’m drawing one card for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Taurus is an earth sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s earth suit, pentacles, for Taurus. (Standard disclaimer: Tarotscopes are for entertainment purposes only).
Normally, I try to scatter these tarotscopes with themed gifs. But this time, I had to look up the meaning of "flow" and found a great Ted Talk explaining it. So here's my first Ted Talk-themed Tarotscope. Enjoy.
Taurus, April 20 – May 20: The World and the 10 of Pentacles. Good things are coming your way, Taurus, and even more good things are coming after that! The world is at your fingertips, so stop behaving like life is about stress and strain and act like the success you are (or soon will be).
Gemini, May 21 – June 20: Justice and the Ten of Swords. Karma's a bitch, and we get what we deserve? But do truly deserve pain? Or are our subconscious fears just telling us we do? Watch your thoughts, and be kind to yourself, Gemini. Because what you expect and believe will often come to fruition.
Cancer, June 21 – July 22: The Hierophant and the Seven of Cups. The good news? You have a lot of options in front of you. The bad news? Not all of them represent opportunities for something real. If you're really uncertain, turn to someone who's already walked these paths for advice. The lessons are out there, if you're willing to look and listen.
Leo, July 23 – August 22: The Empress and the Four of Wands. You're in a hugely productive phase, Leo, but the secret to getting things done is twofold. First, what's known as "passive productivity," i.e., knowing when to step back and let things happen naturally. And second, creative partnership. You don't have to go it alone! Leverage your knowledge, passion, and resources, and see how high you fly!
Virgo, August 23 – September 22: The High Priestess and the Ace of Pentacles. The power of your practical commonsense and all the pieces you've put into place will lift you higher than you imagined, into the realm of mystery. There's more to life than work and even, yes, play (though both are important). Look beyond the obvious, because there's a treasure nearby, if you only have the eyes to see.
Libra, September 23 – October 22: The Lovers and the Seven of Swords. You have a choice, Libra, to carry your old thought patterns into a new situation or to start fresh. Just be aware that if you behave the same way, you're likely going to get the same result. If that's what you want, great! If it's not, well, you know what to do.
Scorpio, October 23 – November 21: The Wheel of Fortune and the Nine of Cups. On the wheel, sometimes you're up, and sometimes your down. But the Nine of Cups promises up, up, up, especially in the realm of love and the intuition. Enjoy it, but don't cling to it, because that wheel keeps on turning. That's life, baby.
Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21: Strength and the Eight of Wands. Strength is numbered eight in the major arcana, so this is a powerful, "double eight" combo. You're entering a period of being in the flow... If you allow it to happen. Want to learn more? Check out this Ted Talk on how to get in the flow, the secret to happiness.
Capricorn, December 22 – January 19: The Devil and the Five of Pentacles. The Devil asks us, what illusions are we suffering under? The five of pentacles points to the illusion of want or lack. To a large extent, our perceptions color our realities. Wouldn't you rather color yours with gratitude and abundance? It's as easy as changing your mind...
Aquarius, January 20 – February 18: Temperance and the Ace of Swords. You have an opportunity to bring real balance to your life, Aquarius, by taking focused action and being clear on your motivations - both positive and negative. What hidden fears are really driving you off kilter?
Pisces, February 19 – March 20: The Hanged Man and the Page of Cups. You may not be exactly where you want to be, Pisces, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy where you're at. Anticipation can be delightful. Breathe into your heart and savor it! Because when the goodies come, you won't be able to relish them either if you're in the habit of constantly looking forward.
Aries, March 21 – April 19: The Tower and the King of Wands. This month you'll experience huge breakthroughs -- some so huge they may be disconcerting. Look on these moments of disconnect as a gift (a sometimes scary gift, but don't be scared). These changes are clearing the path for you to drive forward.
