Spirit on Fire is my companion novella to the Doyle Witch Cozy Mystery series. Is it a paranormal romance or is it something more? (Hint: it's something much more mysterious). So here's the blurb (it's a short blurb, but it's only a 25,000 word novella):

Here's how this novella came about. A couple years back, I thought I'd try my hand at paranormal romance. I wrote a novella, and... It didn't go anywhere.
Since one of the characters in the Doyle Witch Cozy Mystery series is a romance writer, I thought it would be fun to add this novella as a story written by Karin. But it didn't seem right to leave it as a simple romantic novella (especially since my readers are more interested in mystery and suspense). So I wove a parallel mystery in Karin's life into the fictional "Spirit on Fire" story. Karin's side of the story uses the epistolary format, and is told through emails, interviews, and texts (among other things), so readers get to piece the clues together first hand.
Spirit on Fire is coming this December, along with the Doyle Witch Cozy Mystery trilogy.
